GENERAL NOTICES/POLICIES

Continuing Education

Continuing Education: One CE credit will be awarded for each 60-minute hour of instructional time.  Lunch and break time is not included in the total hours of credit awarded.  Participants must attend the entire course in order to receive credit. 

Only those individuals who complete the course will receive credit for attendance.  Full attendance will be verified by monitoring attendance with documentation that includes:  

  • Name on the attendance roster

  • Sign-in/Sign-out log and

  • Submission of completed program evaluation

Refund Policy

A full refund will be provided to registrants who cancel one week prior to the scheduled event.  Registrants who do not attend or fail to cancel registration one week prior will be charged full fee.

Special Accommodations

Grievance Policy

When a participant files a grievance and expects action on the complaint, the following actions will be taken.

  1. Participants will be asked to put their concerns in writing.

  2. If the grievance concerns a speaker, the content presented by the speaker, or the style of presentation, the provider will pass on the written comments to the speaker, assuring the confidentiality of the grieved individual.

  3. If the grievance concerns a workshop offering, its content, level of presentation, the facilities in which the workshop was offered or miscellaneous occurrences, the provider will mediate and will be the final arbitrator. If the participant requests action, the administrator will:
    a. provide a credit for a subsequent year's workshop or
    b. provide a partial or full refund of the workshop fee.

  4. If the grievance is about the non-receipt of a certificate of completion and if program documentation confirms the individual’s eligibility, the certificate will be issued.

PROVIDER APPROVAL AND RESPONSIBILITY STATEMENT

Olivia Loewy Ph.D and Associates is approved by the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists to sponsor continuing education for LMFTs, LCSWs, LPCCs.  Olivia Loewy and Associates  maintains responsibility for the course and its content.
